What Can I Expect from JOGA?

Whether it’s your first JOGA session or your 50th, our JOGA coach delivers consistency and results! JOGA methodology and movement system is much more unique than your average yoga class or strength training session. Below at the top five things to expect from a JOGA session.

  1. Breathing
Each session begings with a breathing exercise. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system so that your mind remains calm and non-reactive.
  2. Lots of cue-ing!
Our JOGA coach will cue the body throughout the entire session! “Keep your core engaged!” “Spread those fingers wide!” “Remember to breathe!” “Relax your jaw!”
This is to ensure your focus remains on your body instead of in your head. An hour of focus on the body means an hour to take a break from your thoughts. JOGA helps you meditate when you don’t think your meditating!
  3. Active Stretching
All JOGA postures are active in movement and engage the core to prevent our Jogi’s from sinking into their joints, over-stretching, and ultimately pulling a muscle. Keeping everything engaged ensures safety. We don’t care if you can’t touch your toes!
  4. Learning
Every class is not just a workout/sweat session! Our coach uses it as an opportunity to teach you about your range of motion, and how to notice imbalances within your body. You will also be provided with tools you can apply in your daily life.
  5. Relaxing
After each class, you will be asked to take a relaxed pose where you can focus on your breathing. Our JOGA coach will make small adjustments to your pose (if you wish) to enhance your relaxed state. Post-class, expect to feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the world!
