Telehealth Virtual Appointments via Physitrack!

Introducing a new form of therapy at Cornerstone Therapy and Wellness in St. Catharines.

Physitrack will allow our healthcare practitioners to stay in contact with our patients via a virtual internet video chatroom. This will provide us with an opportunity to continue ongoing care and treatment for those who need it.

What is Telehealth and How Does it Work?

Physitrack provides us a platform that we can use to help patients with ongoing aches, pains, or musculoskeletal complaints. You will schedule an appointment with one of our practitioners and then engage in a virtual treatment where you will connect to us via webcam. We will then be able to discuss ongoing care and at home treatment options such as: ice/heating instructions, muscle/trigger point work via tennis ball or foam roller, or at home strengthening and rehabilitation. As part of the program, we have access to a large library of exercise diagrams and videos where we can walk you through an entire rehab program step by step. After your initial visit, you will be programmed into our system which will provide you virtual access to your care plan which will include all the instructions for your exercises, as well as pictures and videos. The best part is, this can all be done through the use of your cellular device.

With proper guidance, there is no reason that you can’t achieve the same level of relief that you would normally get during an in person visit, at home with a little bit of time and effort.

I am interested in booking a telehealth appointment, what do I do next?

Scheduling an appointment:

The first step in booking an appointment would be by emailing us at info@cornerstonetw.com. Email is the easiest way to reach us since we will all be working from home.

If you follow our facebook page, you can also send us a message through their messaging service. https://www.facebook.com/CornerstoneStCatharines/

Lastly, you can visit our webpage https://www.cornerstonetw.com/contact/and fill out our contact form.

A practitioner will be in contact with you shortly after requesting to book an appointment. We will then help you to set up a time for your appointment.

What to expect:

The first telehealth appointment will consist of a short history taking portion where we will get some updated information from you, and ask you a few questions regarding your current state of health.

You will then be provided some home solutions for your ongoing complaints which may include stretches, at home muscle care, mobilizations, or strengthening exercises.

Each appointment will last anywhere from 25-35 mins in duration depending on the severity, and complexity of your issue.

What you will need:

In order to partake in a virtual appointment, you will need access to some type of webcam. This can be located either on your laptop, or even through the camera on your personal cell phone.

*You do not need a prescription or referral to take part in a telehealth appointment.

Cost:

The fee for a telehealth appointment will be $65.

Payment options include Credit card, email transfer, or insurance (Sunlife, Canada life, Manulife all cover telehealth appointments).

We are excited to offer this solution to our patients to help with ongoing issues during a time with such uncertainty.
